The next GISPC meeting will be Friday, January 29, 2010 at 9:00 am at CAPCOG in the Pecan conference room.
First, Felicia Retiz from TNRIS will discuss the GEMSS/CSEC 9-1-1 Data Repository project. CAPCOG is participating in this pilot for Next Generation 9-1-1.
Next, CAPCOG’s Betty Voights will give an update on GeoMap 2010, Chris Ramser will give an update on Census 2010, and Sean Whitehead will give an overview of LiDAR basics.
Last, our staff will discuss upcoming training courses offered at CAPCOG in 2010.

2010-2011 Academic Scholarships
SCAUG is now accepting applications for three $1,500 scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic year. Winners will be announced at this year's Regional Conference in Fort Worth. Applications need to be postmarked by February 28, 2010.
New this year, graduate students may submit for either a scholarship to apply towards qualified tuition and related expenses or a research grant to be applied towards expenses related to an approved project.

HAAUG Meeting
Come join other ArcGIS users at the quarterly Houston Area Arc User Group Meeting being held on December 10th at 4:30 pm in H-GAC's Conference Room A. HAAUG meetings are tailored to cater to all disciplines of GIS, from government, oil & gas, utility, sales, etc. Our goal is to have something for everyone.
The subject of the December meeting will be posted soon. HAAUG meetings provide you with the opportunity to network with other GIS users and ESRI representatives without cost or dues.
The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) co-sponsors the HAAUG meetings and provides the location. Meetings are held in H-GAC's office located at 3555 Timmons Lane, Houston, TX 77027 in meeting room "A" on the 2nd floor and meetings begin at 4:30 p.m. sharp!
Free parking is available in the garage in the visitor areas on floors 1, 4, & 5.
